We’ve gathered a list of individuals whose exceptional characteristics—natural or enhanced—set them aside from the social norms that have long been upheld.
Conjoined Twins
Conjoined twins are those who are physically joined at birth, according to the uneducated. These twins frequently share organs and can occasionally be surgically separated. Conjoined twins Abigail and Brittany Hensel entered the world in 1990, each with their own heart, lungs, stomach, and spinal cord.
While Abigail and Brittany are able to eat and write on their own, they must collaborate in order to carry out certain tasks like jogging or brushing their hair.
The Human Barbie
A well-known nickname for Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova is “the human Barbie.” Lukyanova covers her naturally green, gray, and blue eyes with makeup and contact lenses to intensify the “Barbie” impression. She has admitted to getting breast implants but claims that she works out at the gym every day and follows a certain diet because the rest of her body is natural and skinny.
Since then, the model has repeatedly denied having surgery and asserted that she is all-natural. According to Lukyanova, “I practice every day with free weights in the gym. I don’t really do aerobics, but I prefer working with dumbbells.”
Biggest Hands
Mohammed Kaleem’s hands were about 40% of his body weight at one time. Kaleem was cruelly bullied by his peers as a child because he was born with Proteus syndrome, a rare medical disorder that causes bones, skin, and muscles to expand excessively.
In order to prevent his condition from worsening in the future, Kaleem underwent surgery in 2014 under the direction of India’s top hand surgeon, Dr. Sabapathy. Kaleem was insensitively labeled “Devil’s Child” to the point that he was prohibited from attending school because his classmates believed he was the “devil.”
World’s Tallest Man
Sultan Kosen is the tallest man alive, standing 8 feet 2.82 inches tall, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Pituitary gigantism, a medical disorder, is the cause of the Sultan’s height. He was forced to leave school in the middle of his academic year due to his personal situation.
On the plus side, Kosen was able to help his parents with a variety of domestic tasks that children his age often couldn’t handle, including hanging curtains or fixing lightbulbs.
World’s Shortest Man
Speaking about the tallest guy in the world, Chandra Bahadur Dangi, a Nepalese citizen, is the smallest person ever to have his height recorded by Guinness World Records. Dangi, who is only 21.5 inches tall, beat out Gul Muhammad as the previous candidate for the title of World’s Shortest Man.
Dangi exploited his reputation to draw attention to Nepal on a global scale. He once claimed that his position allowed him to travel to various locations across the world, something he had dreamed of doing since he was a young child. The tallest man in the world, Sultan Kosen, was even introduced to him!
World’s Shortest Woman
According to the Guinness World Records, Jyoti Amge, who is from Nagpur, India, is the shortest woman alive. Amge, who is 24.7 inches tall, is well-known in her own right. She has even been in a number of well-known television programs, like Bigg Boss and American Horror Story (an Indian adaptation of the reality show Big Brother.)
She has indeed gained so much notoriety that a wax figure of her has been created. You can view it at the Celebrity Wax Museum in Lonavala, India if you’re interested.
Papa Smurf
Paul Karason, better known as Papa Smurf because of his blue skin, wasn’t born with the color that first made him well-known. Paul’s use of colloidal silver to treat his skin issue has changed the hue of his skin.
The medication’s silver combined with sunshine to produce argyria, a term used in medicine to describe blue skin. But despite that, he continued to use colloidal silver. Karason consumed silver till he died because he thought it would cure his acid reflux, arthritis, and other illnesses.
World’s Hairiest Man
For many people, body hair can be a nightmare. While most people have some level of body hair, Yu Zhenhuan is literally covered with it. You read that correctly —
Zhenhuan is the hairiest man ever known since he has hair covering 96% of his body. Zhenhuan, also referred to as “the hair boy,” underwent laser surgery in 2009 to get rid of all of his body hair.
Plastic Surgery Aficionado
Jocelyn Wildenstein, known as Catwoman because of her kitty-like appearance and borderline obsession with cosmetic surgery, has had more operations than she cares to admit or count.
The socialite claimed in her infamous interview with the Daily Mail that she had never undergone surgery and attributed her high cheekbones and long hair to her “Swiss heritage.”
World’s Strongest Man
Žydrūnas Savickas, who is regarded as the greatest strength athlete of all time, has won nearly every significant strongman tournament in history. For instance, Savickas has four times been crowned the World’s Strongest Man.
Savickas, often known as Big Z, has been attempting to get more shredded lately. He has been chronicling his metamorphosis on Instagram, where he is a frequent user.
World’s Longest Dreadlocks
Asha Mandela, a self-described “Black Rapunzel,” holds the Guinness World Record for having the longest dreadlocks ever. The length of Mandela’s dreadlocks is approximately 19 feet, 6 inches.
Mandela has been growing her hair for more than 25 years and has a complex routine for caring for her priceless tresses. For each wash, she begins by using more than six bottles of shampoo, which is followed by a lengthy drying procedure that can take up to two days to complete.

Julia Gnuse, also known as “The Irvine Walker” or “The Illustrated Lady,” holds the Guinness World Record for having the most tattoos on a woman. Gnuse has tattoos covering 95% of her body, including self-portraits, images of her favorite actors, and cartoon characters.
Gnuse fell in love with ink when she was diagnosed with porphyria, a skin ailment. She began getting tattoos on her legs and gradually worked her way up to her face and other body regions.
Most Tattooed Man
As the “male counterpart of Julia Gnuse,” New Zealand-based performance artist Lucky Diamond Rich has taken the title of “most tattooed man” (he is completely covered in tattoos) in Guinness World Records history from Tom Leppard.
Numerous tattoo artists from around the world have inked Rich. These tattoos were created over the course of more than a thousand hours.
World’s Widest Hips
According to Guinness World Records, Mikel Ruffinelli, an American, has the widest hips in the world. Ruffinelli’s waist is barely 3’4″, but her hips have an amazing diameter of eight feet.
Even though Mikel was in her early 20s, she was a normal-sized young woman. However, she didn’t gain 56 pounds after delivering her first kid until she was 22 years old. Her weight and hips kept increasing as her daughters followed.
Elephant Legs
Mandy Sellars, a British woman, has legs that just keep getting longer. Sellars, who has a rare genetic abnormality that causes excessive growth in both of her legs and makes her immobile, jokingly refers to herself as a “part-time television celebrity.”
Sellars feels she is much more than her medical condition, thus she refuses to be seen through that lens. She actually tells her story to inform and advocate for individuals who experience similar medical difficulties.
The World’s Heaviest Man
Patrick Deuel, who weighed more than a thousand pounds, was unquestionably the largest man in the world. It was well known that Deuel struggled with his weight all of his life. Deuel frequently attributed his dramatic weight gain to despair.
Despite being overweight, Deuel was an obsessive junk food consumer and frequently felt hungry. He only consumed junk food, therefore his body lacked the other essential components required for existence. Deuel died in 2016 as a result of his lifestyle, which ultimately proved fatal for him.

Brooke was diagnosed with Syndrome X, a disorder where, despite her advanced age, she retained toddler-like physical and cognitive abilities.
She stood around 30 inches tall, weighed about 16 pounds, and was thought to be nine to twelve months old mentally. At the age of 20, she passed away in 2013.
Human Chimera
Although it is difficult to imagine, Taylor Muhl is her identical twin. Taylor Muhl was born with chimerism, a rare genetic disease that possesses two sets of DNA. The left and right sides of Muhl’s torso are noticeably different hues, and an almost-perfect line runs down the center of her torso from front to back. This shape has defined Muhl’s body since birth. “Finally, I know why my stomach looks the way it does,” she says.
As it happens, Muhl was born with a fraternal twin sister, with whom she later united in the womb. Singer-songwriter Muhl, who is also a model, dancer, and champion for awareness, said she was relieved to learn of her diagnosis.
World’s Dirtiest Man
Amoo Hadji apparently doesn’t understand the adage “cleanliness is next to godliness,” since he is everything from clean. Hadji, regarded as the dirtiest man in the world, is said to have gone more than 65 years without taking a shower.
Hadji has developed some really peculiar habits to keep himself company, aside from not showering, such as eating carcasses and smoking elephant dung. We’re shocked, to be honest.
World’s Longest Fingernails
The longest fingernails in the world are owned by Christine Walton, according to Guinness World Records. Walton hasn’t used a nail clipper since 1990; his total nail length is 19’9″.
Walton didn’t have to grow her nails out to this length in her life goals. She’s right; it just happened. Evidently, her fingernails grew so long that they began to touch the ground. That amount of commitment—or procrastination—is impressive.
World’s Most Flexible Woman
Introducing the woman who has more give than a rubber band. The world’s most flexible lady, Julia Zlata, can effortlessly and gracefully twist her body into any position.
In addition to having elastic limbs by birth, Zlata works hard to hone the skill that has made her famous. It appears that Zlata has no intention of slowing down any time soon. I commend her!
Iranian Hulk
Sajjad Gharibi, a weightlifter, aspiring bodybuilder, and mixed martial artist, was born and raised in Iran. He has earned the nicknames “Persian Hercules” and “Iranian Hulk” due to his enormous stature.
He has amassed a following of about 500,000 on social media and frequently shares videos and photos on Instagram.
The Jaguar Woman
The Vampire Woman or, as Mexican attorney Mara José Cristerna Méndez likes, The Jaguar Woman are other names for her. Cristerna conveys a powerful message against domestic violence using her body as a medium.
In addition to having physical alterations like dental implants, a split tongue, expanded ears, tattooed eyes, and more, Maria has tattoos covering 96% of her body. Cristerna has a clothing brand and her own tattoo parlor in addition to being a criminal defense attorney.
World’s Widest Mouth
For possessing the widest mouth in the entire world, Francisco Domingo Joaquim now holds the Guinness World Record. The width of Joaquim’s mouth is 6.7 inches. This indicates that Joaquim has no trouble swallowing a can of Pepsi sideways.
Joaquim can consume more food than a group of people together, which allows him to eat more quickly than other individuals. He’s giving the term “big mouth” a completely new interpretation.
Skin and Bones
Tom Staniford was born with Myelodysplastic Preleukemic Syndrome, sometimes known as MDP syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder that impairs metabolism. Fat storage is not possible for those with MDP syndrome.
There are just eight persons in the world who now have this illness because it is so uncommon. Fortunately, Tom’s illness hasn’t stopped him from leading a full life. He is currently a cyclist and has taken part in numerous events.

The title of the most pierced guy in the world belongs to Rolf Buchholz. 453 piercings total, 94 of which are in his mouth. Rolf also had those infamous horns on his head, split his tongue, and had different implants in his fingers, arms, and chest.
Rolf has the record for having the most body alterations in addition to having the most body piercings in the entire world.
Human Silly Putty
Gary “Stretch” Turner has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that can affect a person’s blood vessels, joints, or skin. In Gary’s instance, the latter is true.
Gary said, “If [you] … look at your own skin cells under a microscope, they’d be nice and round and lock in many places. … But my skin cells tend to be more jagged, and don’t fit together quite so well. The best way to describe it is I’m built rather like a badly woven basket (…) which will pull apart.”
All That Glitters Is Gold
Due to her toxic shock syndrome, Lauren Wasser was placed in a medically induced coma with a 1% chance of survival. When Lauren awoke a week and a half later, her right leg had been amputated.
A few years later, she decided to have her left leg amputated as well because of the discomfort it was causing her. Lauren didn’t let this setback stop her from pursuing her modeling goals, and she has since been effectively marketing herself as the “girl with the golden legs.”
The Human Tree
Dede Koswara, also known as Tree Man, was a half-man, half-tree who performed for a traveling freak show. When Dede was ten years old, he hurt his knee, and soon after, warts started to appear around the wound. Sadly, he couldn’t afford medical care and even attempted to remove the wart himself.
Dede’s warts eventually expanded and covered more of his body. Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV), which causes HPV to spread throughout the body, was later found to be present in the artisan.
A Ken Doll
At the age of 18, Justin Jedlica underwent his first cosmetic procedure in an effort to resemble a human Ken doll. Justin underwent a nose job as his first procedure, and then had chest, shoulder, bicep, and tricep implants. Justin also had his cheeks and lips enhanced, as well as his brows raised and waxed.
The now 41-year-old has had more than 190 cosmetic treatments overall. He then revealed that the reason for his fascination with plastic surgery is because he sees it as a component of a luxurious and beautiful lifestyle.

Ram Singh Chauhan has the record for the longest mustache in the world, earning him a spot in the Guinness Book of Records. Ram’s facial hair measured a stunning 14 feet in length in 2012!
With the exception of the odd trim around his mouth, the owner of the mustache with the world record began growing it in 1970. He does his mustache every day, and it takes him a full hour to wash and comb it.
The Strongest Woman
Aneta Florczyk is a weightlifting competitor who regularly competes in athletic events. At the age of 16, Aneta began competing in powerlifting. Four times in total, she received the title of World Champion/Strongest Woman in the World.
Aneta has won more strongwoman competitions than any other woman in history, so there you have it! Aneta also won a tournament in which the object of the challenge was to hoist a grown man above her head. She could raise a total of 12 men.
Balkan Barbie
Balkan Barbie, also known as Andrea Ivanova, has the biggest lips in the entire globe. But it’s important to remember that they’re not entirely organic. At the age of 21, Andrea had her first lip injection. She currently has 26 injections in her lips overall, and she wants more!
Andrea underwent cosmetic surgery on her jawline, chin, and breast as well. According to The Balkan Barbie, “I like my lips now, more than before and I feel very good and very happy with them because according to me, with bigger lips I look prettier.”
The Real-Life Magneto
While performing some cleaning, Arun Raikwar mysteriously nailed a nail to his torso; the nail didn’t come off. Arun has learned that his body is basically a magnet after that happened!
Doctors have stated, “This is an extremely curious case but I am not surprised because all of us have some magnetic field in our body. The same magnetic field allows us to get MRI and ECG scans done. In Arun’s body, the magnetic field has increased and it will go away with time. It is not permanent.”
Finally Walking Tall
Congenital Genu Recurvatum Disease, also known as backward bending knee, is an extremely rare illness that affects about one person in 100,000. Chen Tuanzhi was born with it. Unfortunately, Chen’s illness prevented him from even being able to lie flat or walk.
She had the nickname “Crawling Girl” up until the age of 26 due to the way she moved from place to place. Fortunately, she was able to pay for the necessary operation thanks to donations. Chen is now able to walk after seven surgeries and ten months of therapy!
Separated at Birth?
It’s general knowledge that everyone has seven doppelgängers on average, and it’s quite rare for anyone to have a completely distinct face. However, Niamh Geaney certainly didn’t anticipate such an exact outcome when she used social media to discover her twin.
In addition to having an uncanny resemblance to Niamh, Karen Branigan also lives just one and a half hours away. The two women are unrelated to one another in any way, and they even resemble one another more than their own siblings!
Bending Over Backwards
Claudio Vieira de Oliveira was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita at birth, which effectively means that his head is turned upside down. As a result, doctors initially predicted that he wouldn’t survive past his first day.
Claudio’s arms are tethered to his chest, and the ailment has caused muscle atrophy in his legs. Claudio still has a very busy schedule as a motivational speaker, though. “I’ve never had (difficulties), my life is normal,” the now 44-year-old has claimed.
Making the Most of It
Sturge-Weber Syndrome, an extremely rare skin condition that can result in malformations, was present at birth in Grace McDaniels. The “Mule-Faced Woman” moniker and Grace’s outward appearance helped her land a position as a touring circus performer.
Grace’s illness had little effect on her day-to-day life aside from some initial speech difficulties that she resolved. She got married, gave birth to two kids, and loved working with the circus and touring the nation.
The Zombie Model
Rick “Zombie Boy” Genest was born with a flawless human appearance, but he got about 90% of his body tattooed to look like a zombie. Rick became well-known because of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video, and his modeling career flourished as a result.
Before he passed away in 2018, Zombie Boy amassed more than 139 tattoos of bones and more than 176 tattoos of insects. Many believe that Rick’s fixation with death stems from the time he had a brain tumor and was forced to wait more than six months for surgery.
Benjamin Button
At the age of 30, Shin Hyomyung has never experienced puberty. Highlander Syndrome, which allows the body to age incredibly slowly, was present in Shin at birth.
He developed regularly from birth, but just before puberty, his growth ceased. Shin is only 5’4″ right now, and his voice sounds like a young boy’s. Shin is fortunate in that his illness has no negative effects on his health, and he likes leading a normal 30-year-old lifestyle.
Horsing Around
The Pony Boy, also known as Robert Huddleston, made the most of his medical problem by utilizing it to help him land a job in the circus. Congenital Genu Recurvatum, a knee abnormality that prevented him from standing, was present at birth.
Robert was known as “Pony Boy” because he would travel by crawling on all fours. Robert, who was determined to not be a burden, worked on the family farm as a child and even participated in the Second World War as a carpenter and blacksmith.
The Human Lightbulb
The actual Thor is Deepak Jangra, a.k.a. Electric Boy. The adolescent can endure electric currents of up to 11,000 volts, which is sufficient to power 500 homes. Even 50 volts of electricity would startle the majority of people.
Deepak first became aware of his “superpower” while repairing his mother’s furnace. He has seen doctors, but they were unable to identify a cause for his powers. However, doctors have cautioned Deepak that his electric performances are a “disaster waiting to happen.”
Life Without Body Fat
Marfanoid-Progeroid-Lipodystrophy Syndrome, an incredibly rare congenital illness, was present at Lizzie Velásquez’s birth. Lizzie’s inability to acquire weight or accumulate body fat is her most obvious symptom. She has never been heavier than 64 pounds, and she has almost 0% body fat.
Lizzie, who tragically through vicious bullying and was even referred to as the “Ugliest Woman in the World,” chose not to let it affect her and instead used her experiences to become a motivational speaker and opponent of cyberbullying.
Largest Eyes
In case you didn’t know, Kim Goodman holds the record for having the biggest eyes in the entire globe. She currently holds the record for the furthest protrusion of the eyes. Goodman stumbled onto her skill!
She has been popping eyes since then whenever she feels like it. If it’s not impressive enough for you, remember that Goodman can yawn while also poking her eyes out!
World’s Tallest Model
In the past, models were often tall. In the old days, no matter how gorgeous, anyone under six feet was not considered a model. Therefore, all of the supermodels of the 1990s were taller than the current crop of models we see on the catwalks.
The tallest person, however, is Russian model Yekaterina Lisina, also known by her stage name Ekaterina Lisina. Lisina, who is 6’9″ tall without heels, played professional basketball before deciding to try her luck as a model.
World’s Smallest Waist
Another physical requirement that was expected of models in the past was a small waist. Many of these models used to practice a variety of harmful eating practices in order to get to that size.
However, none of them could compare to Michele Kobke, who is recognized as having the world’s smallest waist. Kobke has admitted that she hasn’t taken her corset off in three years in order to maintain her 16-inch waist.
Heaviest Sumo Wrestler
On average, sumo wrestlers weigh around 330 pounds. But not Orora Satoshi, the largest Sumo wrestler we have yet to encounter. At his peak, the now-retired Sumo wrestler weighed about 645 pounds.
Since the wrestler had no intention of breaking or setting any records, his weight rise was entirely accidental. But as fate would have it, Satoshi became the most famous heavyweight Sumo wrestler of all time thanks to his weight.
