Glenn Frey, the lead singer of the Eagles, is a musician and songwriter (and their guitarist as well). ” Among his many hit songs are “Tequila Sunrise,” “Lyin ‘Eyes,” “Taking It Easy,” and “Young Kid in Town,” among others. He also wrote the lyrics for many of the songs. Later, after the Eagles’ disbanded in 1980, he struck out on his own. No Fun Aloud was his debut album. Among his many singles, which peaked in the top 40, were “Blues Smuggler,” “The Fire Is On,” “Sexy Lady,” and a number of others. He passed away in New York City at the age of 67.

He began learning to play the guitar when he was 14 years old and enrolled in Folk’s Old Town School in Chicago. After the age of 18, he took a break from music to serve in the Army in West Germany for a period of time. He returned to Chicago, where he worked as a guy until he was discovered by singer Kris Kristofferson, who signed him and launched his professional career as a guitarist.
