Kenny Gamble – $8.5 million
With his work in the local soul scene, Kenny Gamble has made a name for himself. While still a child, he began to record himself on arcade machines, and he quickly developed a strong interest in music. Later, he established Gamble & Huff, which was managed by Jerry Ross. Two of his most well-known songs are “Expressway to Your Heart” and “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me,” both of which are featured on the album.
Jimmy Webb – $10 million
In 1986, Jimmy Webb was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. The Oklahoma native has also been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, which was established in 1999. He has previously worked with artists such as Art Garfunkel and Linda Ronstadt, amongst many others. The singer-songwriter has spoken about songwriting and his desire to create music that “crushed lonely hearts.” In 2017, he published a memoir titled “The Cake and the Storm.”
