Actor Pancho Demmings was a part of the original cast list from season one, and he played Gerald Jackson on the show regularly before leaving abruptly. He played Ducky’s assistant medical examiner before being shot and injured by a villain, and then simply vanished. Pancho did not go on the record to explain why he left the show, but he did land better roles on shows like CSI, Bones, 24, and General Hospital.

Mario Bello is a well-known actress who has appeared in television shows and films such as Coyote Ugly, Grown Ups 1 & 2, and ER. She also joined the cast of NCIS in 2017, playing Dr. Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane. But, after four years on the show, she left in 2021, bidding Gibbs and his team farewell.
